| Our MissionTo serve the highest quality food with ultimate flavor, wonderful wines, top quality coffees and fresh baked pastries and bread; and to provide a wonderful dining experience that is reflected in delicious food, an intimate leisure atmosphere, delicious food and drink and great service. Our CommitmentFrom our pastries, made by The Crazy Baker, who gave up a secure profession as a jet mechanic to follow his passion for fine pastries, to our bread maker, Jeff, who traveled the world to pursue the art of breadmaking, we bring you the best quality possible. We use locally grown and harvested products when possible, we use organic when we can, we insist on fair trade for our purveyors and use recycled products where possible, such as the paper used in our to-go coffee cups. This all costs us more but we feel that you deserve the best. We strive to bring you the best service, the warmest environment and the best food, and hope that we have achieved this for you.
Our HistoryOn Valentine's Day 2005 we opened our doors to the public. We opened in the hopes of providing a warm, welcoming spot in the middle of our lovely town where people could meet, check their e mail, drink quality coffee and espresso drinks or a cup of fine tea and have a pastry made by The Crazy Baker, maybe even a bite to eat. I hired my daughter Sparrow and my nephew Alexander to run the cafe. I purchased our pastries from The Crazy Baker who happens to be my twin brother. This is truly a family endeavor. Within months we had twelve smiling employees all packed into our tiny kitchen. Thinking we would be a drowsy little coffee shop we started out with a microwave, a table top convection oven and a sandwich bar. Before we knew it we were flooded with local friends and visiting tourists looking for quality salads, sandwiches, cappuccinos, fine wines & brews as well as our famous pastries. Soon after, we realized that we needed to offer a full-blown dinner menu. Our dinner menu now includes all natural steaks, curried chicken, sashimi grade fish, pasta, lamb, braised pork and duck. Click on the menu tab at the top of the page to see our full menu. With Gratitude We are only half of the equation, you are the other. The astonishing enthusiasm and boundless compliments about our food and service have meant so much to us all. We are invited to so many towns and cities to open a Stardust Cafe in your home town; we are told that this is your favorite restaurant again and again, we even receive apologies from you for showing up too often to eat at our cafe. This is our food and we thank you for your love and kindness. Our customers have been remarkable in their grace, loyal support, compliments and joy of life that have made our shared experience so wonderful and we thank you, Destiny.
RESERVATIONS We only take dinner reservations; we recommend that you make one throughout the summer and fall season. Winter season is slower but we can't predict when we will be fully booked, so feel free to make one anytime that you would like to guarantee a table will be available. Call 304-647-3663. | |
